MIAMI, FL – (September 2, 2014) – In its 13th year, the Miami Spice Restaurant Program organized by the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB), offers diners an affordable and convenient way to indulge at more than 170 area restaurants, including 44 new 2014 participants. Miami Spice kicked off in August with dining deals that include lunch priced at $23 per person and dinner priced at $39 per person. Prices include an appetizer, entrée and dessert, and exclude alcohol, tax, tip and service charges. Continuing through September, savvy foodies have countless new opportunities to enjoy amazing meals at some of the area’s hottest dining destinations for unbeatable prices.
In an exciting first for the program, a series of exclusive Miami Spice Mash-Up dinners kicked off in June at J&G Grill with chefs Brad Kilgore and José Mendín of Pubbelly Group, and continued in July at Swine Southern Table & Bar with chefs Clay Miller of 50 Eggs and Todd Erickson of HaVen South Beach, with the grand finale taking place on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Lure Fishbar in the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. Chefs John Iatrellis of Lure Fishbar, Wolfgang Birk of Area 31, and David Bracha of Oak Tavern team up to deliver an evening of indulgent seafood fare to preview each of their enticing September Miami Spice menus. Guests can enjoy two savory dishes per chef and a dessert crafted by the trio for $75 per person including a cocktail reception featuring one complimentary Botran Rum Deluxe Mojito, Stella Artois and a glass of wine from Wines of Chile (excluding tax, gratuity and additional alcohol purchases). Cocktail reception will begin at 7 p.m.; dinner service will begin promptly at 7:30 p.m. These curated collaborations has brought some of the area’s most talented chefs together to offer an intimate and interactive experience celebrating the culinary artistry of some of Greater Miami and the Beaches’ top toques.

The Miami Spice website offers photos of restaurants and featured dishes, with search functions for cuisine type, area/neighborhood, lunch/dinner and more.
This year, Miami Spice fans have the opportunity to win special prices through a social media promotion by posting and sharing photos of Miami Spice meals on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using #MiamiSpice. In September, foodies will have the chance to win one of four (4) weekly $100 prepaid gift cards or the grand prize of a hotel stay and VIP dining experience when posting their Miami Spice meal photos.
